Some coffees do more than wake you up.

Rescue Roast was created to give every cup a purpose.

This smooth, approachable medium roast is crafted for everyday drinking — rich enough to satisfy coffee lovers, balanced enough to become your go-to morning ritual, and meaningful enough to make a real impact.

Built around comforting notes of milk chocolate, caramel, and light citrus, Rescue Roast delivers a clean, smooth finish with just enough brightness to keep things interesting.

But this coffee is about more than flavor.

Every bag of Rescue Roast helps support rescue animals, shelters, foster programs, and second chances.

Each month, we partner with a different Michigan rescue organization or no-kill shelter, and $5 from every bag sold goes directly to that month’s featured rescue partner.

October Rescue Partner: The KARENS!

For October, Rescue Roast proudly supports The KARENS in Detroit, Michigan.

About The KARENS: "Serving the community since 1896, HSHV is the only animal shelter in Washtenaw County and provides care for unwanted, injured, lost, stray, abandoned, and abused animals. Each year, the organization helps more than 24,000 animals and the people who care for them through adoption, veterinary care, rescue, education, cruelty prevention, and other community programs.

We are The KARENS, a dedicated group of volunteers who have come together to make a difference in the lives of dogs in Detroit. Founded in 2021, our mission is to rescue and provide essential care for animals in need.

At our non-profit organization, the K9 Animal Rescue Emergency Networking System (KARENS), we work tirelessly to ensure the well-being of dogs in our community. From providing safe shelter and warm straw bedding to nourishing food and, most importantly, an abundance of love, we strive to give these animals a chance at a better life.

Our impact goes beyond the walls of our rescue center. We foster strong connections with the Detroit community, pet stores, and fellow dog rescue organizations, all working together to make a positive change. We are immensely grateful for the support we receive from our dedicated followers, ranging from generous personal donors to enthusiastic Girl Scouts.

It is through the unwavering support and contributions of our followers that we are able to continue our vital work in Detroit. Together, we are making a real difference in the lives of these deserving animals. Join us in our mission and become part of the KARENS K9 Team family today!"

At The Doghouse Coffee, we’ve always believed in one simple idea:
